Organization and community, and large scale capacity building has the potential to impact health outcomes and public health delivery. Topics discussed will include Identify elements of Capacity and Alliance-Building for PSE change,Healthy People 2020, community decision support tools, and a grant-making initiative.
Session Objectives: Describe how non-profit advocacy organizations can evaluate changes in their capacity and progress toward their policy goals.
Identify evidenced-based resources to achieve health improvement and make progress toward the Healthy People 2020 targets.
Discuss the "The Big Picture" procedure for assessing the readiness of a community for capacity building and change.
Identify elements of Capacity and Alliance-Building for PSE change
