Public health and transportation practitioners are increasingly recognizing the relationship between the built environment and the physical, social, and mental health of communities. This session features successful interventions at the intersection of public health and transportation, including those involved with active transportation, safety, air quality, and equitable access to services. It also features cross-sectoral policy making with planning, transportation, parks, and environmental departments environment.
Session Objectives: Demonstrate successful approaches to explaining the links between public health and planning to the general public
