This contributed session offers a variety of presentations regarding musculoskeletal health issues related to practice, prevention, safety, and cost. Topics include management costs of neck pain, risk of stroke following chiropractic spinal manipulation, dose-response of spinal manipulation for chronic back pain, association of smoking with back pain, knee osteoarthritis in religious groups, and an overview of benign joint hypermobility syndrome. These presentations may be of interest to those involved in economic analysis of healthcare, risk reduction, primary care, conservative care, integrative, complementary, or alternative care, manual or physical therapy, and those in the ambulatory health care environment who specialize in musculoskeletal health.
