Embedding Health and Equity into the Fabric of Government

Health and equity can be improved through “healthy public policy” strategies. Embedding health and equity considerations into government decision-making processes is an important strategy for implementing a Health in All Policies approach. Presenters will discuss how agencies are working together to embed health, sustainability, and equity in guidance documents for decision-makers on land use and transportation planning, housing siting, school facilities investment decisions, food procurement, and community design elements to improve community safety.
