This presentation will describe the grasstops organizing strategies used by the Massachusetts Public Health Association to advance public health policies. MPHA's Act FRESH Campaigns engages grasstops leaders from across the Commonwealth to identify, prioritize, and lead advocacy campaigns to address healthy eating and active living policy. The presentation will describe the model used, successes, and challenges.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have expertise in policy analysis, advocacy, strategy, coalition-building, and lobbying. I led MPHA’s campaign to create a $60 million Prevention and Wellness Fund, signed into law last year, and I have been instrumental in passage of legislation to improve school food, create a state food policy council, and create a strategy to support survivors of violence in health care settings
