The New Mexico affiliated public health association has partnered with the University of New Mexico in promoting healthy conditions in border areas. A member of the association who is also an active researcher will describe their collaborative efforts.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have worked in public health in the border region for 25 years and currently direct the Dona County Health and Human Services Department in the border region. Doña Ana County is situated in the south-central region of New Mexico and borders El Paso County, Texas and the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. Doña Ana County includes 37 of New Mexico’s 55 federally designated"colonias".
