This session is designed to help new and seasoned advocates understand better understand why advocacy matters, how to get involved and APHA advocacy resources and programs available.

Learning Objectives:
Identify advocacy and lobbying laws and etiquette for employees in non-profit organizations and government agencies. Discuss effective activities that public health advocates can participate in regardless of their employer and/or profession.
