To improve the overall health of a population, a re-balancing of our investment in clinical medicine (treatment) and public health (prevention) will be necessary. Integrating and aligning clinical care, public health, social services, behavioral health, and long-term care will also need to be a part of this effort. Making this happen will require more community engagement and ownership of health and health care within local communities. This presentation will discuss approaches being taken in Minnesota to achieve these objectives.
