This session will describe the transformation of Clark County Public Health into a contemporary local health department within the context of the Great Recession, but driven by a strategic future and not poor economics. In doing so it will describe the innovative new work it undertook, how support was gained, and how it was better positioned for the future with 80 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees than with 160 FTE employees.
