This session will look at health reform in the U.S. and the recent reforms to the English National Health Service. The context of the reforms will be explored, particularly at a time of national and international austerity, increasing demand for health care and reducing health inequalities.

Describe the status & potential health impact of U.S. health reform through the Affordable Care Act. Describe the recent reforms to the NHS in England and their potential impact on health.
