Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the Chief of the Newborn Screening and Molecular Biology Branch at the CDC. The Branch is devoted to assuring the accuracy of newborn screening tests in every US state and comprises several quality assurance, public health service, test development and translational research activities in support of the newborn screening community. Together with collaborators in APHL, I have provided leadership, direction and support for the 50 years of newborn screening celebration activities nationwide.
