The purpose of this session is to give participants an overview of how storytelling interventions can shape individual and community health. It will present an overview of current research on storytelling interventions and how interventions have addressed health disparities among patients.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: My research focuses on quality measurement, implementation science, and statistical methodology, with an emphasis on eliminating racial/ethnic disparities in medical care and health outcomes. I have a 15 year history of demonstrating the effectiveness of using storytelling interventions to improve health. I served as PI on several randomized controlled trails funded by NIH, AHRQ, RWJF and others. I have more than 170 peer-reviewed publications in print or press.
