A report on national initiatives for hospital care of persons with dementia

36 million persons worldwide have Alzheimer's disease or other form of irreversible dementia. Most have at least one other chronic condition that may require hospital care, which is greatly complicated by their cognitive impairment. This issue has been addressed in several national and sub national government Alzheimer plans in the past 4 years. This poster is a summary of some of the key findings in these plans and action steps being taken to improve care.
