Public Health Implications of Food Insecurity
Food insecurity, or the inadequate resources to obtain an adequate resources for the household has numerous implications for families. In this session, speakers will highlight the health and environmental links to food insecurity in populations at high risk for poor nutritional and developmental outcomes.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to: 1. Examine the impact of household food insecurity on public health problems. 2. Describe the relationship between social justice, food insecurity and public health.
