| Food safety is a centerpiece of emergency preparedness efforts across the country. A number of issues are important to maintaining a safe food supply, including awareness of allergens, toxic chemicals and infectious agents in foods, and planning efforts that are effective. In this session, experts from federal agencies and state organizations will present epidemilogical and program data on food safety and emergency preparedness. | |||
| Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to: 1. Understand the current issues in food safety and food defense in the United States and Bangladesh. 2. Describe the roles of public health personnel in protecting the food supply. | |||
