Tools and Strategies for Performance Improvement and Quality
Performance improvement and quality require more than good intentions. Results of experiential training, readily-available online resources, evidence-based tools to guide client-provider interaction, self-assessment tools to identify performance gaps, and client-focused incentives will be presented. Tools that have been used to improve performance and quality in Indonesia, Peru and the U.S. will be discussed; and tools intended for use in a wide variety of international settings will be reviewed. Participants will learn how these tools are used to ensure that programs and providers have accurate, useful information to evaluate needs and design successful interventions.
Learning Objectives: Describe the effectiveness of tools for performance improvement. Assess the appropriateness of tools to achieve particular goals.
