Preparing for and Responding to Disasters
Disasters can happen at any time. It is important to plan in advance as well as know how to respond to these events. This session will present studies that evaluate disaster planning as well as relate the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control's experience with responds to natural disasters.
Learning Objectives: Recognize the role of evaluation in enhancing/augmenting public health preparedness training programs. Hear lessons learned from responding to natural disasters from the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
