Workforce Issues in Public Health
This session will describe a variety of workforce development issues including public health training for physicians-in-training, leadership training, epidemiologic capacity measured in a CSTE study, and approaches to increasing public health competencies available in the workforce.
Learning Objectives: 1.Offer participants a concise yet comprehensive public health leadership development model; 2. Develop a public health experience for primary care residents 3. Describe the status of epidemiologic and surveillance capacity in state health department
