Workforce Issues in Public Health - Posters
The purpose of this session is to look in detail at methods of improving the health care and public health workforce. As the workforce ages, issues of replacing the current workforce and filling in specialist competencies are becoming a critical component to the effectiveness of organizations. Presenters will approach the issue of workforce competency from a variety of perspectives.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participants in this session will be able to: 1) Identify ten different case studies in improving the health care and public health workforce. 2) Compare different methods of improving workforce competency such as continuing education, quality improvement, and graduate training, for example. 3) Evaluate methods designed to positively impact their own workforce improvement issues.
