| The recognition of health care disparities as a public health concern is an example of the intersection between academia, payers, health care providers, and local, state, and federal governments within a civil rights and public health perspective. This session aims to provide insight as to how to measure the effectiveness of civil rights interventions. The session will also explore the basis, role, programs, and analyze interventions that contribute to decreasing or eliminating issues within the healthcare setting, such as health disparities, discrimination, and other related issues. Abstracts for joint presentations/sponsorship with other sections, such as health law, public health, health care access, health care administration, or other related sections are welcome. | |||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Analyze the interrelated elements of civil rights, ethics, and public health. 2. Review and discuss relevant findings, research, and information from experts in the field of civil rights as related to public health and ethics. | |||
