Obesity Law and Policy
In this session, leading public health law experts and advocates will discuss the legal and political fights taking place in court rooms and legislatures nationwide concerning ways to address rising rates of obesity in Americans.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant in this session will be able to: 1. Describe legal and policy issues arising in the debate over obesity-related legislation and lawsuits; 2. Assess the way in which public health science translates into public health law and policy.
