Learning Objectives: Participants will learn

• how spirituality plays an important phenomenon in the lives of HIV/AIDS infected Black men, especially in the wake of rejection from the church.
• "Starting where the client is" an advocacy function in public health social work practice. The data indicates the need for public health social workers to assess issues of spirituality for their African American clients living with AIDS, particularly those alienated from the church.
