Late Breaker: Current Issues and Innovations in Native Community Based Programs
This session provides an overview of innovative community based programs and recommends strategies that will reinforce healthy behavior and lifestyles. It also provides suggestions for partnerships and methodology to inform public health practictioners and policy makers in priority-setting for education, prevention, and control.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session the participant will be able to: 1) Review the major health indicators for Native Americans. 2) Apply lessons learned in innovative public health programs and studies.
