Middle school students increasingly are recognized as an important target group for health education and promotion activities. The panelists in this session will describe various health issues of importance in this population and some innovative strategies for reaching children in these transitional years. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to explain media literacy and describe the effects of media literacy education for middle school students. Participants will also be able to describe interventions related to hepatitis, asthma, and physical activity and nutrition for middle school students, in accordance with the learning objectives of the individual presentations. | |||
