Mobilizing Communities in Research and Intervention
Community-based participatory research and community participation in program planning and evaluation present unique advantages and challenges to health educators. The panelists in this session will describe community involvement in various programs and the results of research conducted with extensive community participation.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify characteristics of successful community-based health promotion and describe specific research and intervention projects using community-based frameworks, in accordance with the learning objectives of the individual presentations.
