Food and Nutrition Poster IV: Current Topics in Nutrition
The purpose of this session is to present current topics in the area of nutrition and food safety. Given the quickly changing nutrition and food safety environment, it is important to keep up to date on topics including food security, pediatric overweight issues, folic acid fortification policies, assessment of food comtaminants and other topics in food safety.
Learning Objectives: 1.Describe trends in food security; 2.Discuss the viability of using clinical health care to address adolescent obesity; 3. Describe folic acid fortification policies; 4. Discuss food safety issues.
