As the population ages, it is important to understand trends and correlates of overweight and obesity and at what point in the life cycle obesity prevention may be effective. Additionally, it is important to understand the dietary and nutritional adequacy of adults and elders. The purpose of this session is to present trends, correlates and gender differences in overweight and obesity and to examine dietary adequacy in the adult and elder population participating in sponsored meal programs. | |||
