Papers will discuss how to use a public housing development as a venue for health promotion, disease prevention; an approach to using street venders to improve the availability and quality of fresh food in poor neighborhoods and the benefits of working with community hospitals to address health disparities. | |||
Learning Objectives: This session will: 1)List specific strategies to address widespread street vending; 2)Describe the benefits of working with community hospitals to reduce health disparities; and 3)Describe evidence-based interventions for physical activity to public housing settings. | |||
