| The panel will review recent workplace injury and illness data in Brazil, discuss the new government programs and policies for worker health and safety proposed by the Lula administration (Ministries of Health, Social Security and Labor), and the pros and cons of their implementation It will assess the challenges faced by the federal government to unify workplace health and safety activities conducted at the federal, state, county, and municipal levels, under the Unified Health System of Brazil. The panel will also describe and review the National Network of Comprehensive Healthcare Services for Worker's Health (Rede Nacional de Atenção Integral à Saúde do Trabalhador - Renast) and its coordination with the Ministries of Labor and Social Security to develop integrated actions in health services, surveillance, and promotion. | |||
