| This session focuses upon applications of surveillance and epidemiology to the analysis and implementation of health promotion programs for children, demonstating a data-based approach to policy- and decision-making. The session provides opportunity for discussion of methods of data collection and policy question formulation, using state, local, and national surveillance systems. Finally, emphasis is given to identification and consideration of disparities in child health outcomes. | |||
