Health and Civil Society: Establishing Relationships
This session addresses how strengthening the relationship between health institutions and civil society creates common ground and provides a unique opportunity for citizen involvement. Successful relationships have fostered civil society involvement in all aspects from data gathering and dissemination to advocacy and policy dialogue.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to (1) describe the benefits of establishing health and civil society relationships; (2) explain how civil society groups can generate major policy change.
