Preparing for Preparedness
Public health and environmental health professionals in particular are being expected to lead preparedness efforts in many areas, often without much specific background or training. The panelists in this session will describe some of the strategies and available resources for building capacity among those who must be at the forefront of efforts to "be prepared" for all hazards.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to describe current education needs of environmental and public health professionals and identify programs designed to meet these needs, in accordance with the learning objectives of the individual presentations.
