Dr. George Eadon will describe the vision New York State has developed for using biomonitoring as a public health tool. New York was recently awarded a Centers for Disease Control laboratory-enhancement grant for the purposes of biomonitoring. Dr. Eadon's work has been key to the development of this grant, which has included substantial input from health professionals, public health officials and community groups. Dr. Eadon will present the goals and objectives of ongoing and future New York State biomonitoring projects and will discuss his sense of the most effective use of biomonitoring as a public health tool.
