Dr. Quigley will discuss the new field of community-based participatory health research, as applied to biomonitoring studies. She will bring to the discussion the concept of community research ethics, discussing such issues as confidentiality, community input into study design and dissemination of data, validation of community expertise, etc. She will offer case studies to indicate how communities and researchers have worked together to develop effective biomonitoring studies able to address the needs of both the affected community and the health researchers.
