Dr. Houlihan, a pioneer in developing biomonitoring studies, will describe the protocols and techniques of reliable biomonitoring, will discuss data analysis and their significance to public health concerns, and will suggest how what research protocols need to be developed to expand our understanding of human exposure. Dr. Houlihan will also describe how biomonitoring has been used to support public health campaigns.

Learning Objectives:

1.Learn the mechanisms of biomonitoring, including study design, analysis of existing laboratory protocols and quality control techniques.
• Learn how to understand biomonitoring data, including analysis of reference ranges, reference doses, the significance of cumulative and low-level exposures exposures, 3. Understand how data has been used to support other toxic chemical exposure information to support policy change, or activist market campaigns.
