**SESSION ABSTRACT** Programs and policies addressing the behavioral health programs of LGBT populations

Learning Objectives:
- Describe the LGBT populations and their particular behavioral health care needs;
- Recognize the diversity within the LGBT populations;
- Identify barriers that LGBT people face when accessing health care services;
4.Determine what health care providers need to know in order to better serve LGBT people;
5.Identify special skills and abilities essential to culturally-competent healthcare delivery for LGBT consumers; and
- Describe how the National Registry of Effective Programs (NREP) can be invaluable for addressing the behavioral health care needs of LGBT individuals throughout the life span.
