This training and skills building presentation will provide a framework on the challenges of caregiving in gerontological, mental health,HIV/AIDS and bereavement programs for elderly individuals living with HIV/AIDS and the issues surrounding patient and palliative care. Modules will assist professionals to desensitize their own attitudes and prejudices about HIV/AIDS, assess and strategize to utilize multidisciplinary clinical tools to best serve their HIV-infected elderly patients, network with other service providers, and maximally sustain their self-care and wellness systems.
