Brown University Program in Public Health

The Brown University Medical School's Program in Public Health announces a major expansion, including the recruitment of up to seventeen new tenure-track faculty members over the next five years. Faculty recruitments, which are currently underway, will occur in four general program sections: Biostatistics; Epidemiology; Health Services and Policy; and Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Commensurate with an expanded faculty, there will be expansions in existing academic programs. The Brown Program in Public Health's integrated academic program currently includes education for undergraduates and medical students, a Master of Public Health degree, and Masters Degrees and Ph.D.s in both Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Development of degree programs in additional disciplines is being planned.

Brown University is an EE0/AA employer and actively solicits applications from minorities and women.

The Master of Public Health Program at Brown Medical School is dedicated to developing skilled professionals who are committed to improving the health of communities by translating rigorous scientific research into sound, evidenced-based public health policy and practice. Brown has a long and rich tradition of academic excellence and is an internationally recognized leader in key areas of public health research. The MPH Program is intentionally small, with an unusually high faculty-to-student ratio. Students have a great deal of interaction with faculty, who are accessible, approachable, and encouraging of student involvement in critical projects. Innovative curriculum requirements, such as community and analytic internships, make the program academically rigorous while providing unparalleled access to ongoing research and immersion in public health practice.
