Purpose: To explore the next steps in developing the Medicine and Public Health Initiative (MPHI) network of health professionals and educators nationally, within states, and internationally. We invite all interested parties to attend and participate. MPHI’s major goal is bridging the gaps among clinical, community, and public health through cooperative programs. There is a joint emphasis on community based as well as international collaboration. We are extending the collaborative network. Attendees will participate in the general workshop to discuss potential organization, affiliate structure, project and network development. Purpose: To solicit ideas and actions from all attendees as well as examine specific action to form medicine and public health collaborating initiatives in your own communities and areas of interest. There is currently an existing state chapter in California, and other states are in active planning. | |||
Learning Objectives: 1.) The participants will understand the genesis and history of the Medicine and Public Health Initiative. 2.)
