This special session will bring focused attention on a broad range of critical issues in public health from a national perspective. The session will focus on state of the art discussions about: " substance abuse policy, emerging zoonotic and vector bourne diseases like SARS and Monkeypox, the epidemic of obesity, and traffic safety." | |||
Learning Objectives: 1. Identify new policy strategies to reduce substance abuse. 2. Understand the importance of reducing the epidemic of obesity, especially in children. 3. Utilize important new methods to increase traffic safety. 4. State the importance of emerging zoonotic diseases as a cause of diseases in humans. | |||
