This session will give a basic overview of the National Mentoring Program in public health. Fundamentals of the mentoring program will be discussed including how it works, what the mentors and mentees can expect from the chair, distribution of and discussion of mentoring materials, and presentation of a general timeline. Past mentor/mentee companionships will be available to talk about the challenges and successes of their mentoring relationship. | |||
Learning Objectives: 1. Develop a mutually beneficial mentor-mentee relationship in the National Mentoring Program. 2. Identify ways to improve mentor-mentee relationships. | |||
