Learning Objectives: 1. Participants in the plenary will develop a more accurate assessment of the extent to which the effects of urbanization on health represent a global rather than a national or regional outcome. 2. Participants in the plenary will gain new insights into the effects of urbanization on health, mental health and quality of life. 3. Participants in the plenary will reassess the ability of local and national policies to promote health and mental health in the face of global urbanization.
