Learning Objectives: 1) to gain an understanding of the concept of social capital. 2) to learn about the use of social capital in the improvement of the public health of cities and states. 3) to understand the interactive nature of social capital and a variety of measures in bringing about positive change. 4) to understand the importance of affiliates in the advancement of public health and the public health agenda. 5) to bring a moment of enjoyment and pleasure to the life of those in attendance.
