Epidemiology of war in Iraq

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session particpants will:
Describe the epidemilogy of war: the number and type of injuries over time, the cause of injuries and deaths, ie mines, small arms, etc., the demographic and geographic breakdown of injuries and death and changes in health service provision, changes in total and cause specific mortality, apart from injuries, and major influencing factors.
Compare patterns of morbidity and mortality between each of the countries using a western, epidemiologic approach.
