ABSTRACT Disparities in health care have lead to a need to analyze the perceptions of health care received by minority postmenopausal women. In addition, osteoporosis is a major public health problem that is also affecting the minority elderly population. As managed care organizations are working to ensure quality health services, there is need to assess the perceptions of the minority elderly population. This study seeks to assess the perceptions of minority postmenopausal women receiving osteoporosis prevention services from a managed care organization’s mobile osteoporosis prevention program. This study is guided by a comprehensive review of pertinent literature and resources pertaining to assessing quality as it relates to patient satisfaction. Donabedian’s framework of quality, a systematic approach, which considers the constructs of structure, process, and outcome that contribute to the whole will determine quality as it relates to patient satisfaction of a mobile osteoporosis prevention program by a managed care organization.
