Social Work Leadership: Partnering with Faith-Based Organizations

As resources diminish, it has become imperative that public social workers utilize their community organizational skills in maximizing on all resources existing in a community. In addition, there is the continual concern on access of the vulnerable population to health care services. This workshop will build onthose skills and introduce a program that can be used by public health social workers that will expand access to the vulnerable within the community.
Learning Objectives:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to:
Know the definition of Faith-Based Organization and Health Ministry;
Understand how to implement the elements of Faith-Based Building;
Identify the obstacles in Faith-Based Building;
Understand the value of the program to public health social workers.
