In this session, five speakers will discuss current issues pertaining to terrorism and public health, including such topics as the public health response to the September 11, 2001, sttacks; ways of improving the public health and medical care systems in the United States in light of these attacks; relevant issues pertaining to human rights and social justice; biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons and their control; and roles of public health professionals and public health students in helping to respond to terrorist attacks and to the threat of terrorism | |||
Learning Objectives: By the end of the session, participants will be able to: (1) Describe current issues pertaining to terrorism and public health, and (2) Plan educational activities concerning these issues. | |||
