Racial/ethnic disparities in Healthy People 2010 objectives: Lucas County (Toledo) Ohio and the United States
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant in this session will be able to describe the status of blacks and Hispanics in Lucas County and the U.S. based on the national objectives for 2010; more specifically, to document
- the levels of disparity among blacks and Hispanics compared to whites;
- how these levels of disparity compare between blacks and Hispanics;
- how these levels of disparity compare between Lucas County and the United States;
- how the levels of disparity compare between different areas of health concern;
- where there are gaps in data; and
- what are recommendations for strengthening local community needs assessment and planning toward eliminating racial/ethnic health disparities.
