This presentation begins with a short video of a patient and their doctor, and will then discuss the role of religion in coping with chronic medical illness. It will address the prevalence of religious coping and its relationship to deptression, anxiety, and other mental disorders, both in community and in clinical populations, and implications for clinical practice and future research.
