This presentation will review the evidence of racial differences in the levels of religious involvement. It will discuss the rol eof religious institutions in providing a range f services that can enhance health and the role of the clergy as an intermediary between clients and the health care system. In addition, it willdescribe the multiple ways in which individual religious involvement can promote or impair health.
